Dr Anne Kilgallen - Increasing Safety in Uncertain Times

Shauna Healy

Dr Anne Kilgallen, Chief Executive of the Western Trust has recorded a Video Message to initiate a conversation with Staff, focusing on increasing safety in uncertain times.

The current situation has seen lots of change for us all and change has often happened at a very fast pace. This can lead to us feeling unsafe which increases our anxiety. As an organisation we want to work together to increase the sense of overall safety, reduce anxiety and so help all staff feel psychologically safe. We want to know what you think are the best ways to do this. You matter and your views matter.

We want to start a conversation:

  • What are you most concerned about?
  • What messages/behaviour do you need from your colleagues/managers?
  • What other support would be helpful?
  • What do you think is going well?

You can give feedback by emailing:

Your responses and suggestions can be anonymous and will be read by members of the Psychological Support Team. They will pass the themes to the senior management teams and senior management responses will be highlighted in the Friday Focus Staff Newsletter and via TWIST WEST, letting you know what they have heard and what action can be taken. We hope this means the conversation can continue.
