Wellbeing in the Park

Health improvement

The last few months have been challenging for staff both personally and professionally. The Health Improvement, Equality and Involvement Department are co-ordinating four ‘Wellbeing in the Park’ events to support staff health & wellbeing.

Events will take place as follows:

Monday 17th August Gransha Park, green area in front of Maple Villa

Tuesday 18th August SWAH, outside area opposite the ground floor coffee shop

Thursday 20th August T&F and OHPCC, green area between back of T& F and OHPCC,

Beside Community Store Drop Off

Friday 21st August Altnagelvin, courtyard in North Wing

All events will be from 12pm to 2pm – see programme below - and will take place on an outside green space. We would like to encourage staff to get outside, have a walk, and join us for your lunch break. Feel free to bring your lunch and enjoy a picnic. There will be information stands with advice available on physical activity, healthy eating, smoking cessation, the Carers Support Service, active travel and the Cycle to Work scheme.

Weather permitting, we will have two 30 minute interactive sessions on back and neck exercises (registration is essential, see below) and one relaxation meditation provided by Trust Physiotherapists and Psychologists. Please bring an exercise or picnic mat/blanket if you wish to take part or for your lunch. Chairs will be provided for the physiotherapy sessions.

How to register for the Physiotherapy sessions

If you would like to attend any of the two physiotherapy sessions, please complete the attached relevant Health Questionnaire (A for Altnagelvin, G for Gransha, S for SWAH, O for Omagh) and return to the contact below in each locality indicating which physiotherapy session (see below) you are attending before Friday 14th August at 1pm.
