Pilates 6 Week Course for Staff - ZOOM

6 Week one hour Pilates Programme for Trust Staff to start in January 2021.

This Programme is an introduction to Pilates with a progressive 6 week programme of exercises to help with physical and mental health. The sessions are for Trust Staff and those who work in Care Homes. Sessions are not gender specific - everyone welcome.

Sessions will be led by Patrick O Donnell Physiotherapist WHSCT and Claire Lightowlers - Exercise Professional with the Conditions Management Programme - WHSCT.

Pilates develops the deep muscles of the back and abdomen to support your spine helping to improve posture, muscle tone, balance, joint mobility and reduce the risk of injury. Exercises for major muscle groups around the shoulders and hips are also performed in session to lengthen and strengthen your muscular framework

Classes will run Via Zoom. Participants will also be required to complete a programme evaluation via Survey Monkey. Both links will be emailed to you prior to the start date of the programme.

Once you have registered, you have secured a place and you will receive a confirmation email prior to the first session.

Please be advised we would like all participants to enjoy the sessions provided. Those who choose to take part are to take responsibility for their own health and only participate if you are fit and healthy enough for this form of exercise.

Please wear comfortable fitting clothing, have some water nearby to drink, and use a mat or a carpeted floor for floor lying exercises. Please make sure you have enough space to do the exercises and turn your camera off when participating.
